Peter Siener is a big guy of generous and cheerful nature, whose thoughtful side sometimes comes to the fore - and his wines are just like that: He seems to mirror himself in them. None of his wines are small - from table wine to the finest vineyard selections.
Light-footed and superficially charming wines with little backbone are simply not his thing, and he is consistent enough not to produce them at all.
His expressive dry white wines have plenty of power, spiciness, and extract without ever seeming heavy. Even more powerful (also because they contain quite a bit of harsh tannins) are his Pinot Noirs, which have a unique style not found elsewhere in the Pfalz. And that is exactly his ambition. Peter has long been clear that winemakers who, like him, are passionately dedicated to their beautiful profession and want to reach the top cannot help but produce distinctive wines.
