Managed Palatinate Forest Association lodge on the Hilschberg hill high above the town of Rodalben.
The PWV-Hilschberghaus is located in the middle of the Palatinate Forest Nature Park, in a marvellous location above the Fichtenstraße with a view of Rodalben. It is located directly on the Rodalber Felsenwanderweg, on Tour 1 of the Mountainbikepar Pfälzerwald and on the Pfälzer Waldpfad and has 11 rooms with 40 beds and 2 dormitories with 10 beds each, all equipped with shower/WC and central heating. There are also several single/double rooms in the newly added tower. In the large bar (50), in the adjoining room (70), on the terrace (80 seats) or in the new beer garden you can relax from the stress of everyday life with Palatinate delicacies. The Pfälzerwald-Verein Rodalben offers its guests a relaxing and pleasant stay in the Hilschberghaus. A self-service beer tap is available for overnight guests in the function rooms (80 seats) by prior arrangement. A large car park, also for motorhomes, is available directly at the house. A children's playground provides variety for younger guests. There is also a bicycle and mountain bike repair centre and charging stations for e-bikes.
Nature lovers will get their money's worth here: There are numerous hiking trails in the immediate vicinity that lead through the beautiful Gräfensteiner Land. Excursion destinations such as the Nuturden monuments Bärenhöhle (largest natural rock cave in the Palatinate) and Bruderfelsen, the Alte Burg or Gräfenstein Castle near Merzalben should be on your programme. A special attraction is the aforementioned rock hiking trail (approx. 44 km), which you can also hike in several stages.
