In our family business (at the Feitig-Richter winery), we have been working and living for generations in deep respect for nature. “For it is, in the truest sense of the word, the source of expressive wines. Of course, we are also fortunate to be located in a truly favored spot – a biosphere reserve – that offers everything the vine needs for good growth.
Here, the diverse geology of the Rhine Graben gives various grape varieties a special expression of their individual character, briefly called “terroir.”
“Following the motto “From tradition for nature,” we joined the Bioland association in 1989 and have been working according to strict ecological guidelines ever since – out of conviction!”
And we will continue on this path consistently, even in the next generation.
“Our vines grow on the diverse soils around Siebeldingen, from limestone to loess to heavy clay soils. Exactly the right conditions for our wide range of varieties!”
It goes without saying that harvesting is done traditionally by hand; we carefully accompany the wine's development and give the wines the time they need.
We believe that our considerate approach to nature is reflected in the aroma of our wines.
