Mit 587 m ist der sagenumwobene Valtenberg (ein Granitberg) die höchste Erhebung des Lausitzer Berglandes, auf dessen Hochplateau die Bergbaude mit ihrem Aussichtsturm einlädt.Zur Stärkung wird in der Gaststätte und im Biergarten bürgerliche Hausmannskost angeboten. Und wer sich einfach nur ausruhen möchte, findet am Rastplatz mit Holzunterstand die Möglichkeit dafür.

In unserer Bergbaude wird bürgerliche Hausmannskost von der Bockwurst bis zur Rinderroulade angeboten. Die Kräuter kommen aus dem hauseigenen Kräutergarten, der liebevoll gepflegt wird. Auch Kaffee und Kuchen werden gereicht.

Unsere Gasträume sind im Baudenstil gestaltet und verbreiten eine gemütliche, urige Atmosphäre. In einem Gastraum der Bergbaude wird auf die Sagen des Valtenberggebietes, die von Rittern, Schätzen und Querxenspielen erzählen, fantasievoll hingewiesen.

Die Gaststätte beherbergt drei Räume, in denen Feiern aller Art bis 80 Personen ausgerichtet werden können: - Bauernstübl 22 Plätze - Sagenzimmer 32 Plätze - Jägerstübl 34 Plätze

Im Außenbereich befinden sich eine Terrasse mit 30 Plätzen und der Schauer (überdachte Sitzplätze für Wanderer) mit 50 Plätzen.

Directions

Südlich von Neukirch gelegen, ist der Gipfel des Valtenberges nur über ausgedehnte, gut markierte Wanderwege zu erreichen. Es gibt keine öffentliche Zufahrtsstraße zum Gipfel.

Parking

Die PKW Parkplätze liegen 3 bis 4 km entfernt am Fuße des Valtenberges.

Gäste, die schlecht zu Fuß sind, können auf Anfrage vom Touristenparkplatz in Neukirch abgeholt werden.
