Wine is as important to Winningen as the Moselle. On the steep slopes, wines of unique taste grow on high, stacked slate terraces. From the best Riesling terraces Uhlen and Röttgen, Günter Kröber produces dry and off-dry wines with a finely refined elegance! Günter Kröber has specialized in gentle vinification. Sorting and selection of the grapes by hand, gentle pressing with compressed air, slow cooled fermentation, gentle cold maturation, and a late racking off the yeast to preserve the aromas are all part of his process. The result of this work is floral, aromatically matured, racy, characterful Rieslings with great longevity. Günter Kröber’s Riesling wines are almost exclusively produced as dry and off-dry, much to the delight of the many wine connoisseurs and judges at last year’s wine competitions.
