The Old Railway Line Garden Centre is family run, independent Garden Centre, Farm Shop & Restaurant
Sitting in the Wye Valley at the foot of the Black Mountains, between Brecon and Hay-on-Wye at Three Cocks, The Old Railway Line brings together a garden centre, farm shop and restaurant in a single family-run destination. Outstanding views stretch across the Brecon Beacons and the surrounding Radnorshire Hills.
The garden centre — crowned 'Best Garden Centre in the UK' by the Garden Centre Association — stocks high-quality plants, outdoor living products and gardening essentials, backed by experienced staff on hand with advice and inspiration. Inside, a wide selection of gifts, homeware and clothing sits alongside pet and aquatics departments supplying everything from pet care products to outdoor pond equipment.
The Railway Restaurant opens seven days a week, serving freshly prepared main meals, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, homemade cakes and desserts. Afternoon tea is available daily, with a Railway Roast lunch offered on Thursdays and Sundays. The farm shop carries locally produced food and drink: freshly baked bread, meats from a local butcher, deli products, and artisan beers and wines.
Built up over almost 30 years from humble beginnings, the site hosts regular events including an annual Apple & Cider Festival, children's activities, talks, information days and evening gatherings. Visit www.oldrailwaylinegc.co.uk or call 01497 847055 for details.
