Cycling in Raunheim

Moderately difficult and varied three-day circular route with mountain stages in the Odenwald and racing stretches through the Hessian Ried, accompanied by numerous worthwhile cultural and natural sites in the Messel Pit, Michelstadt, and Heidelberg. Well suited for a long weekend. Stage 1 leads from Mainz-Kastel to Breuberg in the Odenwald, Stage 2 from Breuberg to Heidelberg, and Stage 3 from Heidelberg to Wiesbaden.

Circular route along the Main to Kelsterbach, through the forest to Schwanheim. The goal is the old oaks in the Schwanheimer Forest. Return through the forest, lastly fields to Kelsterbach and to the North-West runway. From here mostly through the forest to the starting point.

Circular route from the Horlach parking lot in Rüsselsheim to Nauheim and through the northern Hessian Ried on good farm roads via Wallerstädten to Groß-Gerau. Through the Mönchbruch forest back to the starting point.

The loop trail leads through a shady forest to Mönchbruch and on to Bachgrund. Open fields accompany us to Klein-Gerau, and from there we return mostly through the forest.

The bike route leads from the Main riverside around the Rhein-Main Airport, mostly along forest and bike paths. Despite the numerous major traffic junctions, roads with motorized traffic are largely avoided.

Inspired by the last Main route, we wanted to make a detour to Fraport today and try out the tunnels.The return path through the forest and familiar areas along the Rhine was simply beautiful and varied.
