Rules and Regulations

To participate in the Alpe-Adria-Trail Challenge Digital Hiking Pin you need a smartphone with which you can collect digital hiking stamps for the Digital Hiking Pin at each of the 43 Alpe-Adria-Trail Infopoints. In order to receive the digital hiking pin in silver, at least 20 of the 43 Infopoints must be collected. Depending on the number of additional Infopoints collected, there is a chance to win further prizes.

How it works: The GPS reception of your smartphone must be activated, location services must be allowed. In order to automatically collect the Alpe-Adria-Trail Infopoints (POIs) when approaching or passing them, you have to track or navigate in the app. The Infopoints are then displayed as collected in the app and on the web. The track must be recorded in one of the two qualifying activities (long-distance walk, hike). It is also possible to check in manually at the info points (check-in). This requires neither tracking nor navigation: Simply open the app, go to the Alpe-Adria-Trail | Digital Hiking Pin Challenge and click on the check-in button there.
