Rules and Regulations
To receive the Digital Hiking Pin in bronze, at least 10 of the 43 info points must be collected. Depending on the number of additional info points collected, there is a chance to win additional prizes.
How it works: GPS reception of your smartphone must be enabled and location services must be allowed. The info points (POI) are automatically collected when approaching or passing them, both when tracking and navigating, and are then displayed as collected in the app and on the web. The track must be recorded in one of the two qualifying activities (long-distance hike, hike).
It is also possible to check in manually at the info points (check-in). This requires neither tracking nor navigation: Simply open the app, go to the Alpe-Adria-Trail | Digital Hiking Pin Challenge and click on the check-in button.
Der Weitwanderweg führt vom Fuße des höchsten Berges Österreichs, dem Großglockner, durch die schönsten Kärntner Berg- und Seegebiete und ohne große Umwege in die Nähe des Kreuzungspunktes der drei Länder Österreich, Italien, Slowenien und weiter bis zur Adria nach Muggia.
