The route begins in the center of Banská Bystrica, passes through the Podlavice neighborhood, and continues with a gentle, gradual climb past the Laskomerské singletrails (a bike park with marked single-track trails in the center of Banská Bystrica). The first serious challenge is the climb to the iconic Dedkovo; After a more challenging section, you’ll descend into Dolný Harmanec and continue through the Zalámaná Valley along a marked bike trail for about 13 km of steady climbing to the finish at the Kráľova studňa mountain hotel. Here you can grab a bite to eat, recharge your e-bike’s battery, and take a break. The bike trail continues from the hotel all the way to the second-highest cycling point in Slovakia—Krížna Peak (K2). In our case, we turned back at the ridge, with a view of Kráľova studňa (a place shrouded in legends) and a panoramic view of the Veľká Fatra Mountains. We chose to take the same route back (just below the hotel, you can also turn off into the so-called Bystrická Valley, which is also a marked bike trail). The return to Banská Bystrica led through both “Harmance,” Uľanka, and Kostiviarska (following the Barborská Trail), all the way to the city center.

The route begins in the center of Banská Bystrica, passes through the Fončorda housing estate to the Suchý vrch recreational area, and continues along Lake Mútnô to the mountain village of Králiky. From there, it follows the marked bike trail toward the ski resort, then takes a logging road with a long, gradual climb toward the fork in the road below Zlatá studňa. The route continues along a logging road in the Kremnické vrchy Mountains via the so-called southern loop to the iconic “Chata Hostinec” and from there to the Skalka recreation center. At Skalka, you join the northern loop, pass through the Tunnel, and follow the marked bike trail back to the Tajovskú logging road, then on to the Lesák mountain hotel and down into the village of Tajov. From the village of Tajov, the route passes through the Podlavice housing development and returns to the center of Banská Bystrica.
