Moreover, you will find a well-developed network of ferry routes accross the lake to complement the multiple hiking and cycling paths of the region. The peaks of the surrounding mountains (being 2,100 metres high and more) offer numerous leisure facilities ranging from cable cars and mountain roads to excursion paths for all ages and levels of physical fitness. Seeboden borders onto the National Park Hohe Tauern and the Nockberge Biosphere Reserve. The stunning glacier tongues of the “Großglockner”, Austria’s highest mountain (3,900 metres), are only 90 kilometres away. All year-skiing facilities can be found on the Mölltal Glacier, the closest glacier to Seeboden.
