During the 20th century, many areas of Valtellina were involved in the construction of hydroelectric plants and, usually prior to the dam, a path called Decauville was built, named after the French inventor of a railway particularly suited to challenging areas such as mountainous regions. After the construction of the hydroelectric plant was completed, the Decauvilles remained as service tracks for the plant and are still passable today. The Decauville that stretches from the Fraele towers to Arnoga is about 10 km long, completely flat, and suitable for everyone. In summer, you can enjoy hiking, biking, and joëlette rides, and in winter, sled dog activities are added.
