Accessible holidays in Morozzo

The Crava Morozzo Oasis has been a protected area of LIPU since 1979 and was transformed eight years later into a Special Regional Nature Reserve managed by the Alpi Marittime Protected Areas.

Route of great naturalistic interest, both for the presence of a rich birdlife and for the preservation of a black alder (Alnus glutinosa) forest, the largest in the province of Cuneo, as well as for the Crava Morozzo Natural Reserve, which is managed by the Management Body of the Protected Areas of the Maritime Alps, in collaboration with LIPU – Cuneo Section. Route carried out within the project "Comuni in Rete - cominciamo dalla salute" and funded by the CRC Foundation, implemented on the Outdoor Active platform as part of the project “Comuni in Forma – Citizens, wellbeing and territory" thanks to funding from the CRT Foundation.

An incredible biodiversity is at the origin of the Reserve which hosts 200 species of birds, as well as lepidoptera, aquatic fauna and enormous trees.

Route of great naturalistic interest, both for the presence of rich birdlife and for the conservation of a black alder Alnus glutinosa forest, the largest in the province of Cuneo.  We will travel through the Natural Reserve, managed by the Management Body of the Protected Areas of the Maritime Alps, in collaboration with LIPU - Cuneo Section. Along the route it is also possible to visit the Sanctuary of Brichetto. Route created within the project "Comuni in Rete - cominciamo dalla salute" and funded by the CRC Foundation, implemented on the Outdoor Active platform within the project “Comuni in Forma – Citizens, well-being and territory" thanks to funding from the CRT Foundation.

This route takes place entirely on the alluvial terrace intensively cultivated with cereals and permanent meadows, passing near numerous farmhouses and agricultural businesses. Very panoramic, it allows you to glimpse the entire arc of the Cuneo Alps. The elevation gain is minimal and there are no sheltered areas, so it is not recommended in summer during the central hours of the day. Route created as part of the project "Comuni in Rete - cominciamo dalla salute" and funded by the Fondazione CRC, implemented on the Outdoor Active platform as part of the project "Comuni in Forma – Cittadini, benessere e territorio" thanks to the financing of the Fondazione CRT.
