Super Freeride day route.
Starting point is in Engelberg at the Titlis station, where you first take the gondola up to the Jochpass. Or you can ride up the road yourself.
Once at the top, the descent begins on the Hells Bell’s Trail, which belongs to the Engelberg Bike Park and ends at Engstlen.
After the first of several descents, head towards Tannalp where the path leads up along a rock wall. In the last few meters, you have to carry your bike because it becomes too rocky to ride, about 10 minutes.
At the beginning of Tannalpsee, turn left and soon climb to Erzeggkreuz where the Balmeregg ridge begins. A rideable ridge path that includes some small carrying sections but offers a lot of experience.
After the Balmeregg ridge, the final climb to the Alpentower begins.
From there, you'll ride diverse trails, gravel roads, paths, and partly roads down through the Haslital to the Brünig Pass.
Good for a small coffee break. Fully recharged, you can continue with the descent to Lungern to the church. Be careful not to miss the descent from the road at the right bottom of the wrestling curve, otherwise, you will ride on a heavily trafficked pass road down to Lungern.
Once along the Lungerersee, then the last descent leads to Giswil where you can board the train after a cool successful bike day and comfortably travel home or back to Engelberg.
