This year, the theme **An Undiscovered World** invites you to enjoy a journey through ice and snow sculptures that amaze and delight.Discover the ocean's depths with sea creatures, soar through the skies, and uncover the secrets of distant galaxies. Explore dense jungles filled with surprises, all designed to captivate both young and old. The Ice Sculpture Festival in Biddinghuizen brings these fantasies to life with impressive sculptures that reach up to 6 meters high. In addition to the ice art, visitors can also enjoy a lively street art exhibition showcasing this growing art form.From December 14, 2023, to March 2, 2025, visit the festival at its new location: Strandgaperweg 20, Biddinghuizen, and enjoy more than 1,500 square meters of exciting discoveries.

Museum Batavialand: Entry Ticket

Visit the Museum Batavialand, where you can see a replica of the VOC ship Batavia, learn about traditional crafts at the shipyard, and learn about the history of Flevoland in the exhibition spaces. Walk on the deck of a full-scale replica of a 17th-century VOC ship and see how people lived and worked onboard. See the 4,000 square meters of exhibition space, and learn about Flevoland’s history from the prehistoric Swifterbant culture to modern land reclamation. The exhibits also include an 18th-century shipwreck, the 60-meter-long Flevowand, and the Watertheater.Next, go to the shipyard, watch craftsmen demonstrate 17th-century techniques in forging, wood carving, and sail making. They are also building a replica of a 16th-century water ship using traditional methods.

Harbor Route in the Waterloopbos National Monument
The harbor route runs through the Waterloopbos National Monument past a large number of hydraulic models. Since the early 1950s, the Hydraulic Engineering Laboratory has conducted research here on, among other things, the port of Rotterdam, the Libyan oil harbor, and the Maasvlakte.
The walk is approximately 3 kilometers long. You start at Paviljoen Het ProefLab and follow the white arrows.
