The starting and ending point is the Wental Restaurant. Initially, there are two circular hiking trails (RW Rauheck—green arrow circle and RW Bibersohl—red arrow circle) that run together. The green trail markers on the posts indicate these. All RW trails are marked with a yellow circle. Starting at the Rauheck West post, we hike south on the gravel road along the RW via Bibersohl. There we come across the third major loop trail (RW Klösterle—blue arrow circle), which we follow, reaching the Hirschtal Dam via the rugged trail. Now we turn north again through the Gnannental and Wental valleys. Geologic features such as the Wental-Weible and many other dolomite cliffs can be found in the valley. The flora features a profusion of flowers (e.g., variegated monkshood) as well as a wealth of lichens, including the rare lung lichen.
