I started today's wintry MTB tour in Löwenstein, in the district of Hößlinsülz, and it led over beautiful forest paths to Brackenheim in the district of Hausen.
The tour starts in Hößlinsülz at the Old Press and first ascends gently/moderately on forest paths to the main hiking trail 8 (HW8). Once there, it leads up and down, crossing the Reisberg bridge (highway overpass) to the Waldheide. After that, we keep left and ride towards Heilbronn-Sontheim on the signposted bike paths. Then we pass through Heilbronn-Sontheim, along the dam wall by the Neckar. Then it takes us on field paths and through a few villages to Brackenheim-Hausen.
In wet weather or, as today for me, wintry weather, wear waterproof clothing as it can get quite damp.
