A school project of the SRH Stephen-Hawking-School becomes a pilgrimage route FOR EVERYONE.
Going outward, looking inward — on the way as a pilgrim*
Let's start!
" You have to walk over 6 stages":
Bensheim Auerbach --> Beedenkirchen --> Winterkasten --> Hammelbach --> Siedelsbrunn --> Kohlhof --> Heidelberg
The guide is the signpost: the yellow bag. The route is signposted in both directions.
Too long — too steep — too bumpy? You will find variants for each stage, exact descriptions, also in Easy Language and GPX files.
Every stage offers: barrier-free
- Toilets
- Pilgrim hostels and other accommodations
- Food and drink
- Low-floor buses
- Information boards at the starting point of the stage
- Stamp points with pilgrim's book and information sheet
- Pilgrim receptions (on request)

Wine and fruit on the Blütenweg at the Bergstrasse

The topic of wine accompanies you on this path and the fruit tastes great. Sometimes it is also sprayed and a taste test is not always allowed, so be careful ;).
The views over the Bergstrasse are great. The Palatinate is outlined by its mountains on the horizon. The Taunus can also be seen in good weather, just look north for that.
We only went as far as Hembsbach, the Blüteweg runs from Heppenheim to Heidelberg and measures about 30 km.
The best season is from March to October. During this time, you see lots of blooming and the landscape does not look so bleak.
I will link a video.
Have fun hiking it.
Greetings Thomas Riekeberg
