The walk begins at the eastern end of Nerja (GR92) and follows the beach towards Marinas de Nerja before crossing the (N340-a).
It is now straight along the Camino Rio Seco until the A-7 motorway is reached and a left turn is taken just before passing under the motorway.
The route passes under the A-7 and continues parallel with it for some distance until it takes a right on to small rural roads which run along the hillside until the tunnel section of the A-7 is reached.
The route ascends to the top of the tunnel and follows the track downhill with the tunnel on the right.
At the bottom, the route crosses under the A-7 and at this point follows a very small track down and to the left which eventually crosses a still intact Roman bridge. Up the other side and a right turn takes it into the town centre of Torrox.
NOTE: At this point a left turn may be taken to go under the A-7, and this is a much shorter return to Torrox Costa should you wish to do this.
Through Torrox using the route shown on Outdooractive and then south towards the coast on a small track which runs alongside a larger road.
This area is very busy with agricultural holdings and polytunnels. The route is not too clear at this point so pay attention to the Outdooractive map and the route will eventually take you to the suburbs of Torrox Costa.
The route crosses the Avenida de Andalucia and arrives at the promenade where it takes a left turn to follow the promenade towards the light house.
Bus stop for Nerja buses is on the main road opposite Aldi.
