A fairly easy loop, ideal if you are camping at Conniston Hall. Also fine for kids, we had a 4 y/o do this walk.

From the entrance to Conniston Hall Campsite, follow the main track through the campsite, keeping Conniston Water on your left, following the Cumbria Way path. As you exit the campsite, keep close to the water and remain on the wide path than is the Cumbria Way footpath.
After about half a mile you pass a second jetty on your left within Torver Wood. Shortly past this a right turn takes you on a narrow path up through the woods, eventually emerging at Brackenbarrow Farm. Follow the farm track a short distance to where it joins the road.
Cross straight over the road, over a stile and drop down through an open and slightly boggy field. After only a few hundred metres you will arrive on a wide path, turn right onto this path, an old railway, and follow for about 600 metres to where it delivers you onto the A593.
There is a safe footpath, offset from the road which can be followed for about 100M, cross the road and take the track that climbs up between some cottages at Little Arrow. The path enters the grounds of a house and exists over a stile at the back left hand side of the driveway.
Once over the stile a narrow, but well marked path, climbs up through a litghly wooded area until it meets with a wider track. Follow this track, below and to the left you should hear the waterfalls.
Where the track eventually takes you close to the river, take the gate to the left. A small wooden sign then directs you right up into open fell-land (though if you take the left hand fork you can explore the old quarry and buildings).
The path eventually settles alongside a wall on your right) before crossing it on a stile. After you cross it, keep left where the track offers a split and climb again. Stay on the path until another wide track is intersected. Turn right onto this and desend until you reach a confluence of tracks by a small stream (stream on your left).
Cross the stream and head on the path for Heathwaite Farm. Follow the signs for public Right of Way through the farm buildings and exit on th emain track to the farm. This will drop you down into Conniston.
Where the farm road joins the public road, turn right on the road, which immediately swings to the left. there is an entrance to a footpath to your left, exit the road and onto the path, turning right as you do so.
Follow the track, past Station Yard until it joins Walna Scar Road. Turn Right and desend the road around a right hard corner. Another road to the left passes the 'Sun Above Conniston' pub, take this to drop onto the main street.
turn right along the main road and then take the first left had turn, Lake Road. Go through the gate on your right where the road turns sharp left. You are now back on the Cumbria Way.
Follow the wide path back to Connisto Hall.
