Great walk. Did it in reverse to the previous reviewer and we were glad we missed the “big hill at the start” 😝 Good variety of path, road, woodland and fields with a nice stop off at Hidcote Manor (need to be NT member) for a coffee

Lovely walk although there is nowhere to park at the start point so we started at the aqueduct.

Great Walk but there are now only 2 pubs as the Navigation is now closed as of late July 2025. The route is also blocked from Baddesley Clinton to the equestrian centre following Severn Trent work. I have noticed people have climbed the fence as its still marked as the Heart of England Way.

We have only completed the northern half of this walk as we started and finished from the canal at a point between the canal bridges. lovely peaceful walk, largely traffic free. we made one change: on the corner passing Caldecote Hall and the church, we took a detour via the Caldecote Hall grounds and church. The route from the road to the church is accessible to public on foot, but not by car (security gate). It is well worth a visit. Turn right at the church and head on the path towards a pond and a yellow public footpath post and that will take you back on course to the adjacent field.

This was an excellent wet weather walk in winter on country lanes. We had a record turnout. Traffic was light and the views were good. We will try it again in summer. The Red Lion was flexible with its menu and had good beers. Thanks to Hampton walkers for planning the route. SatNav Ramblers wdu3a
