The viewing platform at Nedre Oscarshaug offers excellent views of the Sognefjellet Mountains. Here you'll have access to a large spyglass to check out the surrounding peaks. Learn the names of the mountains and their heights while observing the impressive Hurrangane mountain range. The viewing platform was designed by the architect Carl-Viggo Hølmebakk and completed in 1997.

Where to stay
Turtagrø Hotel dates back to the 1880s, but was recently renovated and is the closest accommodation to Nedre Oscarshaug. They serve breakfast, lunch, and three-course dinners. Campsite rental is also available, which includes access to showers, toilets, and a common area. The Lodge is open between Easter and mid-September.

The viewpoint is situated on the left-hand side of the zig-zagging road running down from the Sognefjellet mountain plateau, approximately 3 kilometers north of Turtagrø Hotel.

In summer, the local route no. 200 (Lom-Sognefjellet-Sogndal) run across the Sognefjellet mountain plateau. The closest bus stop, Turtagrø Hotel, is 3 kilometers south of the viewpoint, so a tip is to ask the driver to let you off at Nedre Oscarshaug.
