Mavrogiorgianika

Perched on a steep slope with impressive “stairs” above Amiralis, Mavrogiorgianika is a dilapidated mysterious settlement that sparks the imagination. This is a compact residential core with a uniform architecture. Most of the buildings are two-storey with symmetrical openings and tiled roofs. The settlement was a hideout used by the guerrillas during World War II. Its inhabitants followed the intense migratory flows and the area was completely deserted, like others in the area.
