Montenegro Itinerary October 13 – 23, 2021     DAY 1 – October 13, 2021 - WELCOME TO MONTENEGRO Arrival at Dubrovnik airport. Meet and greet at the airport. Assisted transfer by coach to Budva, Montenegro. Accommodation at hotel Slovenska plaža. Dinner at hotel. Overnight at hotel Slovenska plaza.      DAY 2 – October 14, 2021 – BIKING AROUND BUDVA WITH LOCAL GUIDE Breakfast in the hotel. Rent-a-bike and biking around Budva and surroundings overviewing Sveti Stefan. The old town is Budva’s trademark. It is raised on the island, which used to be connected with the land by a sandy covering and so it grew into a peninsula. The Old Budva’s town is a unique architectural and urban entity which is mentioned as a lodgment even in the antique period. According to those sources, Budva is one of the oldest urban centers in the Adriatic - it is more than 2.500 years old. Visit The Island Sveti Stefan is today best known as a fashionable summer resort. With the sandy covering it is connected to the land, and such islands, which today are very rare, are called “tombolo”. Dinner in the hotel. Overnight at hotel Slovenska plaza.    DAY 3 – October 15, 2021 - RAFTING IN TARA CANYON Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to Kolasin and rafting point. Rafting in Tara river Canyon, Second deepest canyon in the World. The jewel of Europe", violent, clear and wild Tara is huge water mass made from snow and rain. The Tara River Canyon belongs to the National park Durmitor. It rises from the mountain range in the northern part of the country and it flows 156 km. It meets the Piva river and together they make the Drina river, one of the longest and water-richest rivers in the Balkans. Picnic (lunch) in the nature. Dinner in the hotel. Overnight at hotel Slovenska plaza.     DAY 4 – October 16, 2021 – VIA FERRATA DURMITOR AND BOBOTOV KUK Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Durmitor national park. Via Ferrata and hiking at Bobotov Kuk with lunch. Via Ferrata represents a secured hiking trail that crosses inaccessible parts of mountain massifs with the help of cables and metal treadmills. Ferratas are suitable not only for professional alpinists but also for people with average physical fitness that are not engaged in active hiking and sports. Ferrata starts at an altitude of 2000m and ends at 2198m. From the rock of Uvita Greda, a large number of peaks of Durmitor mountain massif can be seen, as well as Mount Vojnik, Skoči djevojka ... Also, there is a great possibility that we will see some of the wild life that enriches the National Park of Durmitor, most likely the wild goats which dominate the region. Bobotov Kuk (2523m) is the highest peak of the Durmitor mountain massif and officially the highest peak of Montenegro. Departure from Uvita Greda (1999m) to Bobotov Kuk. Passing by Surutka and descend towards Zeleni Vir, which is located at an altitude of 2070m with a break to relax and enjoy nature. Tour contiunues to the more demanding part where we reach the top of Bobotov Kuk. From whence the unreal view extends of the Durmitor National Park, Zabljak, Lovcen and Tara Canyon. Transfer back to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight at  hotel Slovenska plaza.       DAY 5 – October 17, 2021 - LEISURE DAY Breakfast in the hotel. Free time. Lunch in the hotels main restaurant. Free time. Dinner in the hotel. Overnight at hotel Slovenska plaza.     DAY 6 – October 18, 2021 - DRENOSTICA CANYON Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to the starting point. Canyonig IN DRENOSTICA CANYON. The Drenostica canyon is located above Budva. The canyon is beautiful in nature and is a great tour for everyone. The passage takes about 3 hours. During the tours we encounter several jumps and slides, we also have several absails. Needed equipement is canyoning footwear, canyon belts, helmet, neoprene suit and neoprene socks).Two canyoning guides, canyoning equipment (canyoning shoes, neoprene suit, neoprene socks, belt and helmet), snack. Lunch in the hotel. Free time. Dinner in the hotel. Overnight at hotel Slovenska plaza.      DAY 7 – October 19, 2021 - KAYAKS AND NIGHT VIA FERRATA Breakfast in the hotel. Free time. Lunch in the hotel. Transfer to Kotor. KAYAKING  IN  BOKA BAY - Kayaking is a very popular sport activity for everyone, regardless how fit one may be. During the competition we provide different tasks that enhance leadership skills, effective team-working, communication, time management and problem solving. Participants will enjoy not only the beauties of the bay, but lot of fun... Refreshment in Kotor. Night Via Ferrata - VIA FERRATA KOTOR by night Via Ferrata is located on the exit of the Canyon Škurda. It starts at an altitude of 80m and ends at 205m. Rocks where ferrata is located, provide an excellent view of the Kotor Bay, the San Giovanni fortress and the entire Old Town Kotor. The ferrata is 200m long and 150m height. There are two benches on the ferrata that can be used for taking photos and taking a break, with a view overlooking the entire Old Town of Kotor, the Bay of Kotor, the Port of Kotor, as well as the old Austrian road to Cetinje. Dinner in the hotel. Overnight at hotel Slovenska plaza.      DAY 8 – October 20, 2021 - CETINJE AND NATIONAL PARK LOVCEN Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to NP Lovcen by bus. Visit  Njegos Mausoleum. The largest and most important monument of the National Parks of Lovcen is Njegos’ Mausoleum. Petar II Petrovic-Njegos was a Prince-Bishop of Montenegro, a Serbian Orthodox Metropolitan of Cetinje, a philosopher and poet, whose work is considered responsible for the modernization of Montenegro. This unique monument is located at the highest point of the top named Jezerski vrh, which Njegos was chosen for his burial place. The mausoleum of the greatest Montenegrin poet and ruler Petar Petrović Njegoš (1813. -1851), represents a highlight of the visit to the National Park “Lovćen”. Mausoleum can be reached by the 20 kilometer road from Cetinje, followed by additional 461 steps that should be climbed to reach the mausoleum. Transfer to Tivat by bus. Although the youngest town in Boka Bay, Tivat has important and rich maritime heritage. Already in the end of 19th century it became the most important Austro-Hngarian naval base. Nowadays as the hometown of the famous luxury marina Porto Montenegro, Tivat is becoming more and more popular and famous tourist destination.    Boarding the speed boat. Cruise in the Bay of Kotor. Visit the island OUR LADY OF THE ROCK.  Our Lady of the Rock is a picturesque islet off the shore of Perast. It was made by deliberate accumulation of stone pieces and old sunken ships loaded with stones around an existing rock. The legend says that two fishermen of Perast found a wonder working icon of the Virgin with the Child on the rock, the one which now occupies the main place on the altar of the church. Sailing continues to Kotor. Discover Kotor, UNESCO’s protected site. Guided visit of the city. The Old City of Kotor was built between the 12th and 14th century. Medieval architecture and numerous monuments of cultural heritage have made Kotor an UNESCO listed “World Natural and Historical Heritage Site". Option: St. Giovanni Fortress. Dinner in the hotel.
