Escursionismo a Serres

 Rennes les Bains, graziosa stazione termale è nascosta nel cuore di una valle verdeggiante dominata dai Picchi di Bugarach e del Cardou. 

Questa escursione offre una grande varietà di paesaggi. Innanzitutto il sentiero attraversa le meravigliose terre rosse, molto erose che formano una successione di piccoli canyon, poi passa per il vigneto, per poi giungere a una vista panoramica sul Pech Cardou, il mitico Bugarach e in lontananza il Canigou, tutti allineati.

The Pech du Cardou hike is short but quite intense. It takes you to the summit at an altitude of 795m. The path gradually leads into the woods, offering some beautiful views of the national forests of the upper Aude valley, the Salz valley and in the distance the high peaks of the Pyrenees. At the top, a great panorama allows you to take in at a glance the ruins of the castle of Blanchefort, the Gorges de Bézis, the castle of Arques, the red earth of Peyrolles and Serres and the Pech de Magrie and its wind turbines.
