Escursionismo a Senja

Am Anfang ist der Weg recht mühsam, da er über Stock und Stein durch hüfthohes Farn führt und teilweise auch etwas morastig ist. Nach ca. 10 Minuten wird es dann ein angenehmer Pfad durch einen lichten Birkenwald. Bei der Geröllhalde fast am See muss man gut darauf achten, dass man die Markierungen nicht verliert, wenn der Weg sich im unteren Viertel scharf nach links wendet. Es war für uns eine schöne und einsame Wanderung, beim See hörten wir überhaupt keine Zivilisationsgeräusche.

Magnifique randonnée que nous avons réalisé en hiver ! Le balisage n’est pas toujours visible ( il avait neigé dans la nuit ) ; malgré ça, la randonnée reste facile. Au bord du lac, une cabane très bien aménagée, en très bon état nous as permis de manger au chaud !

short hike, not too difficult, a bit muddy in the beginning.

Sehr schöner Ausblick bei guten Wetter. 360° Panorama. Jedoch müssen die letzten 200 Höhenmeter geklettert werden (wirklich sehr steil). Es sind keine Seile, Ketten oä. vorhanden. Nur bei absolut trockenen Wetter zu empfehlen.

Nice hike with beautiful views. I recommend to take the same way up as down. The way up as to the track of this tour does not exist anymore and you need to partly cross muddy areas and bushes without any path. The climb at the last part towards the top is only recommended for experienced hikers but even if you return before reaching the top you have beautiful views.

Easy to moderate short hike (in October), that's worth every second. This hike alone is worth visiting Senja!

Low effort peak with great views. The path up is not too steep and is technically easy so it’s basically a hike for everyone. As everyone seems to know this I would recommend to do this as an evening hike to avoid a lot of people. The path could be in better condition though, especially the part through the mud after half the way is chaotic and should be better maintained to reduce erosion and safe the plants.

Exhausting hike up to a famous peak. The views from the segla are really nice and well earned after a demanding and steep hike up. When you are up there definitely take the chance to look down the cliff into the fjord if you’re not too afraid of heights. If you want to make it a longer hike go up to the Barden first from Fjordgard and then over the ridge towards segla. This way you can add another peak with great views with just a little more effort and the walk along the ridge feels great.

If you’re in Senja, hike this mountain! The views of the Segla are amazing and the path up there is quite easy. At the top it gets pretty steep and you might want to use your hands a little. If you’re not sure if you can do it I would recommend to keep to the left on the way up. So, different as to the path here, you should keep towards segla first and then walk up on the ridge towards Hesten. This path is not as steep and you will almost have the same views on the ridge as on the peak, so if you can’t do the top part, which is almost the same as from the other side, you won’t miss out on a lot.

As it says here it’s a really nice evening hike, or perfect for a bad weather day. It is not steep and technically easy but still not too boring. The views over the Fjord and Husøy are pretty good for this low effort peak. Remember that the picture here is of the mountain and not the view from the mountain. I’ll add some pictures of the view later.

Nice walk, partly over wooden walkways across marshy terrain. Unfortunately we have to leave Senja otherwise it would be lovely to stay at the cabin at the lake.
