La Via Podiensis inizia a Le Puy-En-Velay e ci conduce a St. Jean Pied de Port. Corrisponde al percorso escursionistico a lunga distanza 65 ed è segnalata con la conchiglia e con delle bande rosso-bianco.

Wieder einfach nur schön. Die Städtchen am Weg sind sehr schön und das Wetter auch. Estaing ist ein Höhepunkt des ganzen Abschnitts mit Burg, Dorf und Kirche. Abends gibt es den Pilgersegen in der Messe und in der Nacht ein kräftiges Gewitter.

Via PodiensisEntire route from Le Puy-en-Velay to St Jean Pied de Portwork in progress (photos & comments to be added)Advice:- Do NOT rely 100% on the red/white markers.  Many other paths/routes use exactly the same colours!- Do not blindly follow other walkers.  Much of the route is extremely popular with other hikers, most of whom will be walking other routes.- If walking between May and October be sure to book at least one night ahead.  Many of the gites d'etapes tend to be block-booked by large groups, who also dominate the dormatories.- If you have already walked the camino francis in Spain, please be aware thatheavier duty footware is required on this route.  Many of the paths have large sharp stones.
