Escursionismo a Brașov

Wir waren ohne Auto und ohne spezielle Wanderausrüstung in Brasov und sind den Teil von Poiana Brasov (Anfahrt mit Buslinie 20) über Poiana lui Stechil zum Startpunkt und dann weiter über den Tampa und den Serpentinenweg zurück in die Stadt gelaufen. Sehr schöne Wanderung, denk des hohen Waldes auch an sonnigen Tagen. In dieser Richtung (also entgegen der beschriebenen Wanderung) folgt dies zunächst der Markierung "blaues Dreieck", später dem weiß/blau/weiß-Streifen.

Das ist eine eindrucksvolle Tour, die wir schon zu DDR-Zeiten gemacht haben. Damals war das einfach ein Stück Freiheit und Abenteuer.

This was one of the most adventurous and beautiful hikes I’ve done! The snow made parts of the trail unpredictable, and after a bear warning, we even spotted several footprints. Therefore, do take caution and follow local regulation. Some sections were pretty tricky to climb (bouldering skills are helpful :)), so good shoes and caution are a must. Overall, the views were absolutely stunning, truly worth it! I recommend going when there’s no snow. We went in April. Also definitely start early to make it back before dark. It took us about 4.5 hours with just a short break, mostly because of the challenging terrain.

awesome tour! first climbing through a valley, later we saw a fox and a wolf, and had an awesome view! but: it took us 4 hours without a break and we are trained young people.

Die Tour ist wirklich sehr schön und gut ausgeschildert. Wir sind sie Ende Mai gegangen und es gab noch kleinere Schneefelder, die aber nur beim Abstieg teilweise etwas hinderlich waren. Der erste Teil vom Abstieg (rot/weiß) ist mit einer Kette gesichert, die jedoch zum Teil nicht mehr im Felsen verankert war. Wir haben etwas 8 Stunden (mit Pausen) gebraucht, daher würde ich empfehlen, nicht zu spät zu starten. Man darf die Höhenmeter nicht unterschätzen, aber dafür wird man mit einer beeindruckenden Natur und viel Ruhe belohnt.

I only did the northeastern 1/3 of the tour and descended back to the start from Varful Ascutit (alt 2133m). The distance recorded was 14km and it took us close to 10 hours. The distance and time in the tour description are completely unrealistic (at least for the hiker of average fitness). Parts of the tour were difficult (not moderate), especially the parts with slippery gravel fields. Only at certain dangerous parts there are chains and ropes to hold on to. However, it is a very beautiful tour with amazing views.

the road at the last part is a bit annoying and the way back into the Forrest was hard to find

Very nice trail. I did it starting from Amfiteatrul and in the counter direction. Took me around 3:45h. The trail is easy to find except for the last down part, where somebody fenced the trail with barb wire and put a sign: „stop, private property“. I went through anyway and ended up on a farm with a lot of dogs on a leash. I continued and it worked fine but this is a bit of a bummer.

Moderate Forrest and mountain route starting with a challenging ascent up Tampa then along the crest of the mountain to Poiana Brasov. Then it’s back to Brasov via the more popular - but equally beautiful - mountain route passing Solomon’s Stones (Pietrele Lui Solomon).

Steep, hard ascent, beautiful view of Brasov and steep descent with tons of slippery, pointy rocks. Use walking poles to reduce frustration and cursing.
