Walking on a sunny Spring day, with clear views through the mostly leaf-less trees, convinced me to recommend this route. There are some steep climbs, but the rewards are many. In particular, the spectacular scenery and reflections off the lake remain with the walker long after returning to the start point at Esch-sur-Sure.
