Escursioni in Kosovo

Nous avons tenté de skipper l'étape qui descend vers Restelica en prenant le chemin de crête qui est sensé exister dans le high Scardus Trail... En vain, impossible de trouver la trace, pas de chemin pas de balisage. Toutefois, magnifique paysage. Nous avons finis par descendre à Restelica. Il y a des supermarchés et café ainsi qu'une pizzeria

Long montée dans la vallée Leshnica, paysage à couper le souffle, de l'eau partout... Puis peu de balisage dans la dernière montée avant le col. La descente est très facile et le village de Brod hyper accueillant ! Une vie nocturne très festive. Attention pas d'Atm ou payement par carte. Par contre il y a plusieurs petit supermarché et café. Nous avons eu des difficultés pour trouver un endroit pour dormir donc nous avons continué sur l'étape suivante jusqu'à Arxhena, et avons bivouaqué plus en hauteur au dessus des lignes de station de ski.

Magnifiques paysages à flanc de montagne, belle vue sur le Kosovo et rivières autour du lac impressionnantes dans la redescente ! A Veshala, pas grand chose. Il y a un café très sympa qui nous a abrité pendant l'orage : café Veshala. Nous avons continué à pied vers Bozovce. Un peu plus animé. Il y a un restaurant fantastique: traditional food Bozovca. Le cuisinier et serveurs sont très gentil et le repas super bon ! Attention ils ferment tôt... A 20h plus personne et on se faisait attendre pour la fin du service. Nous avons dormi à Grand house Rushani. Jamais vu un homme aussi accueillant... Très aimable et hyper arrangeant ! Ici pas de CB, ATM ni supermarché

Beau parcours avec une vue magnifique sur les crêtes. Malheureusement Kobilica Hut n'est plus un refuge, visiblement il est fermé et n'a pas pour vocation à accueillir des randonneurs (nous y avons rencontré deux personnes sur la propriété qui nous l'ont indiqué...) Nous avons donc continué sur l'étape suivante en remontant ce qu'on venait de descendre. Et nous avons trouvé le meilleur spot de bivouac possible ! Il ne faut pas désespérer il y a plusieurs endroit en hauteur qui sont plat et avec une vue magnifique et de l'eau à proximité

Super parcours bien balisé et pas technique. Arrivée à Lubinje surprenante... Les habitants peuvent être obscurs au premier abord, puis extrêmement amical ! Ici possible payement par carte, supermarché et café. Nous avons continué sur l'étape suivante pour dormir à l'auberge Papradjina ! Exceptionnel... Et bon marché (nuit dortoir, repas du soir, petit déjeuner et sandwich préparé pour le midi) 90€. Ils élèvent et cuisinent leur propre truites

Super étape à flanc de montagne, cela semble interminable mais le paysage et le lac en vaut la peine. Le chemin est très bien balisé sauf parfois dans les pierriers et la dernière portion où se trouve la jonction avec la route, nous n'avons jamais trouvé le chemin qui remonte dans la forêt, aucun balisage... Le village de Prevallë est mignon, possibilités de payer par carte et de se ravitailler dans un super market. Il y a aussi restaurant et pubs pour le moral... Nous sommes restés à l'auberge Krojet, les serveurs étaient super sympa, très bons plats traditionnels et une nuit à l'hôtel (pas luxueux mais propre et avec douche, super après une journée de rando)

Die little Mongolia stage - UNGLAUBLICH ATEMBERAUBEND SCHÖN!!! Wir sind von Brod zu diesem Ski resort Hotel gegangen um dort zu nächtigen - eine äußerst weise Entscheidung denn es hat dann die ganze Nacht gewittert und geregnet. Am Morgen dann die Lifttrasse hochgegangen (knapp 300 steile hm) und dann nach Restlica. Landschaftlich ein absoluter Wahnsinn, unendliche Weiten, Blüten, Sträucher, Gräser, Schmetterlingen, Distelwälder,... Wegtechnisch grundsätzlich leicht und nicht schwierig/anstrengend (außer eben man hat 18 kg Gepäck) - GPS notwendig. Ebenso wie bei allen Etappen - Müll (Zigarettenstummeln, Zigarettenpackungen, Hosen, Schuhe, Dosen, Verpackungsmaterial, Schnüre usw. usf.) liegt quasi überall herum. So schön und beeindruckend die Landschaften sind, so fürchterlich ist das mindset der eigentlichen Bewohner; denen ist alles wurscht und es wird alles überall hingeschmissen. Je näher an Dörfern oder Schäferunterkünften desto mehr. Es herrscht eine generelle komplette Wurschtigkeit was Dreck und Mist anbelangt und es bedeutet das in der freien Natur hinzuwerfen - leider ;(((

Die Taxifahrt von Tetovo nach Veshala war schon ein kleines Abenteuer. Dieses Dorf liegt extrem abgelegen irgendwo in den Bergen (gute 40 min Fahrt - 20 € für 2 Pers.). Von dort aus losgegangen - Weg prinzipiell ziemlich easy; Forststraßen bzw. Wege. Die generellen Bezeichnungen der Etappen mit "schwer" kann ich nicht nachvollziehen - liegt im Bereich T1 und vielleicht T2. Das einzige was "erschwerend" dazu kam war unser Gepäck. Prinzipiell habe ich mit 21 km und 1100 hm kein Problem ABER bei einem Rucksack mit 18 kg dann leider doch 🙈. Haben daher nach ca. 14 km in einer Schäferhütte gecampt. Im Dachgeschoß kann man auf dem Boden schlafen. Die Schäfer waren sehr freundlich und die Kangals auch. Wasserquellen gibt es auf dieser stage zu Hauf. Beschilderung naja - GPS ist generell überall notwendig und hilfreich. Normale Karten helfen einem hier wenig. Am nächsten Tag dann weiter nach Brod. Ebenso wie bei allen Etappen - Müll (Zigarettenstummeln, Zigarettenpackungen, Hosen, Schuhe, Dosen, Verpackungsmaterial, Schnüre usw. usf.) liegt quasi überall herum. Es ist den Bewohnern dieser Gegenden komplett egal und leider absolut kein Verständnis/Bildung das man Dreck nicht einfach in die Natur wirft ;((

The landscapes are beautiful! We hiked it on the 17.06.2026 and there was still quite some snow. We either crossed the snowfields or went around it, which was possible but also much more exhausting. In addition, the streams had quite a lot of water and sometimes it wasn't easy to find a good spot to cross it. Sometimes it was a bit difficult to find back to the trail after the snow fields or the big streams. In the end, we decided to take the short cut and leave the lake out which saved us 1.5h. The alternative shorter trail is well marked and and easy dirt road, but in the end you have to cross a river where there is no bridge and no way to get across it with dry shoes. So we had to take them off. The hotel Krojet was super good, the food amazing. We first went into the village but all the hotels there were not at all hiker-friendly (or at least not with us) and all of them rejected us. So don't bother going further than the Krojet.

A long stage, but also the most scenic and panoramic of Stages out of 1,2,4 and 5. At and around the lake there were many motocross bikes, which were quite loud. The area around the lake was also busy with day hikers, trail runners, and motocross riders. When descending from the lake, it is also possible to go down to Veshala on the right-hand side of the river. Our guesthouse Muhamet Jashari was very simple, with only two bedrooms and a tiny bathroom. I imagine it could become quite crowded during the main season. At €50 per person, including breakfast and dinner but no lunchbox, it was the most expensive accommodation on Stages 1–6.

We measured: * 1,128 m ascent * 1,095 m descent (down to Vejce) So the stage is essentially one long climb followed by one long descent. Hostel Hana had a balcony for drying clothes. The hosts do not speak English, but they are genuinely trying to be as helpful as possible. Kobilica Hut was still not operational when we visited. There are several guesthouses in the area in addition to Hostel Hana.

A beautiful stage, walking through flowers for most of the day. There are stunning rivers and waterfalls throughout the route. Lots of unmarked bits that require GPS. In early June, river levels are probably higher due to snowmelt. We had to spend some time searching for suitable crossing points, and parts of the river were still covered by snow. Do not choose steep sections of the riverbank when crossing. The hike felt quite long when continuing all the way to Guesthouse Papradjina. Guesthouse Papradjina had a beautiful sunset view from the terrace. The accommodation was simple, but dinner was excellent, very large, and vegetarian options were available. Breakfast was smaller and more basic. The host was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. The beds were warm enough, the room had a stove, and there was a balcony where clothes could be hung to dry. For the lunchbox we received a toasted cheese sandwich and an apple.
