Santorini Trails

The trails of Santorini island take the hikers through the less walked cobblestones of this cosmopolitan island without missing the most popular promenades such as the ring of the Caldera or the Heart of Santorini. Through trails on or across volcanic strata, of what used to be one of the most destructive volcanoes in the world, the hiker gets a closer look at the caldera and the insides of the sleeping giant. And then through trails across the backcountry of the island, on and around the limestone mountain of Profitis Ilias and the Peninsula of Akrotiri, the hiker can grasp the ways of the inhabitants of this island before tourism took its toll in this place.
