At 3,152 m, the Piz Boè is the highest peak of the Sella massif. This challenging Alpine tour from Corvara also makes a good mountain run. Of course, you have to be sure-footed and experienced in mountain running.

Turn-by-turn directions

Route: Start in Corvara in Burjé street, from where you go up to the top station of the Boè gondola lift on trail no. 639. Continue on trail no. 638 to the picturesque Lech de Boè lake and across meadows to the Ütia Franz Kostner mountain hut. Then trail no. 638 continues beneath vertical cliff faces along the rough Sella Ring track to the Gola Pigulerz gorge. Continuing on trail no. 638 along the gorge, you come to the summit of Piz Boè (here you have to be especially careful!)

The descent follows the same route.
