The route develops in the woods, skirting "Ponjin"’s slopes. From Fontanazzo, you’ll follow the forest roads, used in the past for the transportation of hay and wood, until connecting with Val Duron.

From Fontanazzo, in front of Antermoia Sport shop, take path no. 577 towards Val di Dona/Antermoia hut. Climb the steep, wooded slope above the village, until reaching "Redolon" area, where Barcia Veia hut stands (closed in winter). Follow the branch on the right that, cutting across the slope, connects with the forest road "Col de sciabia". Walk on this easy route, surrounded by a dense vegetation of spruces, pines, and larches. When you get to the crossroad in "Crousc" area, ignore the forest road on the right descending towards Campitello and, following "Ponjin"’s slopes, you’ll reach another crossroad. On the left, the road climbs to Micheluzzi hut, brushing the wide meadow clearing of "Pra Molin". Then, keep right and reach Val Duron through the forest road "Borest", just before the bridge in "Ruf de Pozates" area (further on there’s Baita Fraines, refreshment point open in winter). Descend towards Campitello, skirting "Ruf Duron" stream. The last ramp is particularly steep ("Lesta", average gradient 24%) and needs to be covered carefully because of the presence of ice. From the centre of Campitello, following the pavement southwards, you’ll exit the village. At Hotel Flora Alpina, leave the main road and turn left on Strèda Ciadenac street. Go past the houses of Fontanazzo di Sopra and continue walking on flat ground (Strèda de Albolina), till reaching the starting point.

Equipment

Wear adequate clothing, footwear and equipment (boots, shoe spikes and poles) suitable for the length and grade of difficulty of trail to be taken. Always try to be self-sufficient and carry with you the necessary to face possible emergency situations and a first aid kit.

Most of the trails are beaten by walkers. No mechanical beating, daily or periodical, is forseen and no specific signs have been placed on the itineraries to show the way. Eeven where scheduled, the beating of some trails by means of snowmobiles, will not be daily but only occasional or following a snowfall. Anyway this does not prevent the presence of some icy and slippery spots on the tracks, especially in the parts placed in shadow. Observe carefully the terrain you are walking on and be always equipped in a proper way.
