From Vigo di Fassa go up to Ciampedìe (1,998 m) with the cable car. You will enjoy a superb view over the Dolomites of Fassa from this sunny plateau. From the cable car’s exit go towards the playground area. Walk along the path passing on the left side of the Kinderpark ("The Path of Animals"). Once you get to a crossroad, follow the downhill trail on the left that leads down to "Pian Pecei" (an altitude drop of about 200 m; as an alternative, you can catch the chair lift - the run is included in the return ticket of the cable car). Near the departure of Ciampedìe chair lift, cross a short stretch of ski slope walking rightwards. Bypass the chair lift station of Vajolet II (tunnel). From here take the "Path of Legends" and begin to ascend. In the first stretch the forest road passes alongside the ski slope and then it goes up across the wood. Once you get to a farmhouse, keep walking on the left hand side. You will reach the hollow of Gardeccia in about 10 minutes.

Wear adequate clothing, footwear and equipment (boots, shoe spikes and poles) suitable for the length and grade of difficulty of trail to be taken. Always try to be self-sufficient and carry with you the necessary to face possible emergency situations and a first aid kit.

Most of the trails are beaten by walkers. No mechanical beating, daily or periodical, is forseen and no specific signs have been placed on the itineraries to show the way. Eeven where scheduled, the beating of some trails by means of snowmobiles, will not be daily but only occasional or following a snowfall. Anyway this does not prevent the presence of some icy and slippery spots on the tracks, especially in the parts placed in shadow. Observe carefully the terrain you are walking on and be always equipped in a proper way.
