First, it goes north from Rasdorf past the Bornmühle to the Rasdorf district of Grüsselbach. Here you follow the path to the wayside shrine on the Kummer and the memorial stone for the opening of the border. You can see the viaduct of the former branch line Hünfeld - Wenigentaft - Mansbach. There is now a cycle path on it. The hike on the former border control path through the Standorfsberg nature reserve begins steeply uphill. About halfway through the hike you will come to Point Alpha, where you can take an information break. The patrol path on the former death strip is then mainly used up to Setzelbach. On the way you can visit one of the border control towers. In Setzelbach you turn west again to return to Rasdorf through beautiful nature. The wayside shrines and wayside crosses that you encounter on this hike will be explained in a book by Parzeller Verlag, which will be published in May 2022. As soon as ISBN and title are fixed, this will be updated here.
