Soaking in the warm water after a long roll is always a turn off. This thermal loop connects 32 thermal baths in the north of Hungary in a cycle tour lasting several days.
Distance 971 km
This thermal trough leads from Fehérgyarmat all the way to Balf. We cycle from the distilleries near the Szamos through the Bodrogköz and the Tokaj wine region all the way to the Bükk. Then we will cross the Mátra through the Scythians to the Kékes Roof and cross the Danube at Szentendre Island. We pass at the foot of the Visegrád Hills and then choose between Slovak and Hungarian baths. After the settlements of the Szigetköz and Csallóköz, the tour ends near Lake Fertő, from where Sopron is just a stone's throw away. Along the way, you will visit several famous castles and palaces, such as Sárospatak Castle and Eszterházy Castle. We will also see the natural wonders of the country, such as the Danube Bend or the Egerszalók salt hills. There are also many religious centres and pilgrimage sites along the way. After each stage, you can soak in thermal waters, many of which are therapeutic waters for treating diseases of the musculoskeletal system, making this series of hikes an excellent way to exercise and maintain your joints.
The series of hikes is just one possible guide. The country's countless thermal baths can be visited in any variation. Let's get on the wheels and discover the treasures of our country and then dive in!
