Sellaronda - clockwise (orange)
To ski around the mighty Sella massif in the Dolomites is the dream of countless winter sports enthusiasts. On the way you can enjoy wonderful views of the snow-covered peaks of the Dolomites, long downhill runs on slopes of medium difficulty and many stops for refreshments at cosy inns. If you add up the ascents by cable car and the descents on the pistes, you cover more than 40 km in about 4 hours, but you can add as many more lifts and pistes as you like. The ski circuit is signposted in both directions, this tour follows the orange markings and runs clockwise. The orange route, thanks to its longer descents, is a little more demanding in terms of fitness than the green route running the other way round. Nevertheless, the ski circuit in both directions is easily mastered by average skiers. . The pistes in the Sellaronda area are very well prepared throughout, but can become muddy during the day if there are large numbers of visitors. The pistes can become slushy in spring,
