The Dolomiti Ski Card covers roughly 1200 km of slopes – from the impressive peaks of the Drei Zinnen (three peaks of Lavaredo) via the family friendly ski resorts at Kronplatz to the Alta Badia and Gröden/Seiser Alm and the legendary ski circuit Sellaronda. The entire ski association not only provides perfectly prepared slopes and modern lifts, but also the breathtaking landscape of the snowy dolomites. If you want to enjoy South Tyrol’s culinary specialties, you should visit one of the many mountain huts and their relaxing sun decks.

There are numerous offers for families in the ski resorts of South Tyrol. Excellent ski schools and numerous wide and blue slopes await little and grown-up in Alta Badia, at Seiser Alm and Kronplatz. The many lifts at Kronplatz provide comfortable and secure ways to reach the mountain tops.

But other destinations in South Tyrol score with beginner friendly slopes. Those resorts also include easy, manageable and wide range of slopes, special training lifts in the valleys, demarcated areas for kids and professional ski schools.

If you want to spend your winter vacation away from the big ski resorts, there are a few secret spots with a good price-performance ratio. The smaller ski resorts in Klausberg and Speikboden in the Tauferer Ahrntal are ideal for leisure skiers. Long walks, the untouched nature, the fresh air and the regional cuisine offer a calm contrast to the lively Bruneck at the beginning of the valley.

The tranquil plateau of Ritten is reachable via Bozen – you don’t even need a car! The Rittner cable railway takes you from Bozen to Oberbozen. There you can take the original Rittner narrow-gauge railway from 1907 to Klobenstein and from here the bus to the resorts valley station. 15 km of slopes lead over gentle and wide downhills – no sign of confinement, crowds and hectic!
