Discover the region
Around a third of the total area is now under nature protection, for example the three nature parks Stilfser Joch, Paneveggio-Pale di San Martino and Adamello-Brenta. The Ledro Alps and Judicaria regions have been a UNESCO-recognized biosphere reserve since 2015. From Lake Garda up to the glacier peaks of the Cima Tosa (3173 m), intact ecosystems such as forests, moors and mountain meadows extend, in which wide, untouched landscapes and a rich fauna can be found.
If you like to walk, there are around 1000 advertised hiking routes to choose from. Gentle hills and vineyards want to be discovered as well as dizzying heights. Cyclists have almost 5000 km of cycle and bike routes at their feet. Special route concepts and bike-friendly service make the Trentino a model region for cycling. And thanks to the mild climate, the season here lasts twelve months - what more could you want?
