The Chamechaude is the highest peak of the Chartreuse massif and can be reached by almost everyone via the normal route (T3, 750 m). This report describes the more demanding alpine version (T5 II).

Freestanding 3000m peak high above the large Lac du Mont Cenis reservoir on the border between France and Italy. Technically and conditionally doable for many mountain hikers (T3).
