FRIEDRICH AUGUST

The mountain refuge rises below the Trentino side of the Sassolungo Group. We have 12 beds in comfortable rooms with private bathroom and equipped with all comforts. Additional 30 beds are available in typical Tyrolean rooms with shared bathroom. The refuge has boot warmers, clothes dryer and e-bike recharging point with the possibility to put the bikes indoors, a modern ski-raum and a private ski-lift that takes you directly to the Dolomiti Superski slopes (12 locations and 1200km of slopes) and the famous Sellaronda without cold morning queues. Our cuisine is typical with a touch of modernity, many dishes offered come from our organic farms in Highlander, the largest in Italy. Position: in winter on the SellaRonda; in summer on the Friedrich August Weg path 2300m. Access: from Campitello di Fassa via the Col Rodella cable car, then descending for 10 minutes along the path that leads to Sasso Piatto or from Passo Sella taking the Friedrich August path in 30 minutes you arrive at the refuge. Recommended routes: from the refuge it is possible to undertake the classic paths around the Sassolungo and Sella Group, the attacks of the Col Rodella ferratas, the Oskar Schuster ferrata and the Mesules ferrata are just a few minutes from the refuge. opening: winter: open from early December to early April summer: open from early June to mid-October
